Visit Grand Central Market in New York City[ NEW YORK, NY - NYC - 4/8/2011 - www.Littleviews.com ]>> Visit New York City's Grand Central Terminal to feast your eyes on its magnificent building (both inside and out) and feast your senses on casual dining options in its stunning dining concourse, fine dining options (including its famous and affordable Oyster Bar & Restaurant), and its sparkling Grand Central Market. ![]() What I love best about the Grand Central Market is that it lets me purchase food from some of New York's finest shops without my having to run all over town to find them. Cupcake and cake lovers like me, for example, are thrilled by the selection of beautiful torts, tarts, and moist brownies offered by Corrado Bread and Pastry, and we don't have to hop a subway to reach one of their fabulous Upper East Side locations. This bakery also sells wide variety of crusty bread which you can buy by the loaf, or have sliced into fresh sandwichs. ![]() New York's answer to Seattle's coffee is Oren's Daily Roast, Coffees, and Teas. At this writing, they have nine New York City locations, all of which brew mellow (not bitter or burnt) coffee and sell locally roasted coffee beans and special-blend teas. ![]() You'll find plenty to offer vegetarians at Grand Central Market, but not at Ceriello - Fine Italian Foods. What this shop sells is a wide variety of Italian sausages (many impossible to find elsewhere), meats, and their own brand of marinara, salsa, and succulent Balsamic vinegar dressing. ![]() Vegetarians, vegans, and carnivores alike thrill to Dishes To Go, which serves an ever-changing variety of hot and cold salads. Buy their entrees to eat in Grand Central Terminal's architecturally outstanding dining concourse, or eat them on a picnic at New York City's scenic landmark, Bryant Park. You can, of course, carry cartons of their finely prepared food home, or to your hotel. ![]() One of my favorite shops is Penzeys Spices, not the least because it gives away an informative 60+ page, full-color catalog filled with information about spices and unusual, spice-based recipes. ![]() A few other very noteworthy shops include New York's ultra-famous Murray's Cheese, plus Li-Lac Chocolates, Zaro's Bread Basket (which also sells cakes, cupcakes, and cookies in addition to fresh bread), and Pescatore Seafood Company (buy its smoked fish for immediate consumption). You'll love them all! Links
